Sumi To Kome Restaurant & Bar

The atmosphere is sophisticated. Just one door separates you from the bustle of Blok M, and stepping inside to find this space makes the contrast enjoyable. The design, food, and presentation of drinks all leave a refined impression. The sake is reasonably priced, and I think it’s rare to find a place offering such a wide selection by the glass. You can also enjoy sipping sake with skewers of yakitori at the bar counter, which makes for another appealing way to use the space.

What a gorgeous place! Attentive service and overall top notch food. I recommend to get the 5 flavour tofu, light and very tasty. The sashimi cuts are thick and very fresh. The yakitori highlight for me is surprisingly the tomatoes, absolutely juicy and a joy to eat with the other chicken yakitoris they offer. We tried pan cheesecake but I’d say you can skip it if you don’t order it together with your mains, since it takes quite a while. The popcorn drink was surprisingly easy to drink, smoky and sweet. Another notable thing for me is how friendly and knowledgeable the servers are, especially the ones stationed in the bar.

It was a lovely experience. The service is top notch, foods are delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. The place might looks intimidating because it looks very proper and bougie, but surprisingly all of the staffs are helpful and friendly. Price also reasonable, considering they use the freshest ingredients, taste is also scrumptious Another good place to visit, whay a hidden gem in a center of crowdy place like blok m, but I absolutely recommend it! They also have omakase, probably will try it on the next visit

I ordered the Joutstanding (portion is enough for 2), which was enjoyable and light, with a focus on freshness. However, flavor-wise, it felt relatively subtle and somewhat standard for a premium offering, pleasant, but not particularly memorable. Where this place truly shines is the ambience. The atmosphere is quiet, exclusive, and intimate, making it an excellent choice for a relaxed dining experience, private conversations, or a calm evening out. The setting feels thoughtfully designed and comfortable without being overwhelming. Overall, this is a great spot if you appreciate high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and a serene, upscale environment. With a bit more depth or boldness in flavor, it could easily become outstanding.

THE BEST Japanese food in Jakarta?? I honestly think so!! It’s not cheap, but you truly get what you pay for. We ordered a lot that night, and I’m still talking about their wagyu skewers until today — they were THAT good. We got a private room which was lovely, though the regular seating area seemed a bit noisy for my liking. But with food this amazing, I’ve got zero complaints. Absolutely worth every bite!

The whole experience at Sumi To Kome was top-notch satisfying, from the reservation process until the very end of the meal. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, attentive without ever being intrusive. Special shout-out to Mas Heri at the bar for surprising us with a complimentary birthday drink. The food is mouthwateringly good: authentic Japanese with that serene, signature taste, yet from the very first bite you can tell every ingredient is premium quality. The place itself is aesthetically pleasing, modern simplicity at its best, cozy and comfortable without overdoing it. Another big thank you to the team for perfectly following my request of no birthday singing while still coordinating the birthday cake surprise so smoothly. Overall, we completely enjoyed the night. Worth every single penny, and without a doubt Sumi To Kome is now on my personal list of recommended restaurants in Jakarta

Great food, served fast, yummy, fresh and just in its best form possible. Their sashimi is top notch, fresh, naturally sweet and served with the actual wasabi they freshly grated on the spot. Service is very good, comes without reservations and the staffs still help us to dine in the currently available spot before the person that reserved came. Their greeting is nice, friendly and warm, they won’t disappoint. The atmosphere is perfect, not crowded, calm and warm. Nice place, came with high expectations and they doesn’t disappoint even when we come unprepared. Definitely will come back here again.
